5 Things to Do When Starting a Blog

Hello, Friends, Welcome back to a new piece of blogging tips. So, I was brainstorming content for new bloggers the other day and I was trying to think of how I could share more beginner blogging tips with you guys. because sometimes I feel like I share some of the advanced blogging secrets.

Exactly why I preferred to write this article on new blogging tips and help my blogger friends.

So today, I figured out some important points. It would be fun. If new bloggers come to know them. If I tell you about some simple things that you can do in your first month of blogging.

Because when you start your blog, there comes so much information out there and so much stuff that you have to do or that other people may be telling you that you should do.

If you want to grow your blog. So, what are just some things that you can do from the to set up your blog for success?

What are the 5 valuable blogging lessons for new bloggers?

I’m going to share five things with you guys that I think you should include in your first month of blogging. I’m going to start with the basics because I don’t want to overwhelm you or confuse you.

1)Make Social Media Presence-

The first thing I should suggest you set up your social media presence. Once you have your blog, domain, website, and hosting server. It may be going to take you a while to actually design that website and get it ready for launch.

But while you are doing that, preparing everything for your website. Make sure that you are prepared to set up your social media presence on-

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Linkedin
  • Pinterest.

I will give more focus on Pinterest in a little bit. Because, about other social media platforms, you know much better.

When you are setting up your social media accounts, you want to make sure that it accurately reflects your brand and what you are trying to create with your blog.

When you are talking about one specific topic on your blog, you should be talking about that topic as well across your social media platforms.

One important thing to remember, when you are setting up those accounts, you want your handle (account name) to match your blog. If your blog name is something unique, and your social media handle is just your name, it’s going to be a little bit harder for people to find you.

So, everything for me is the content. But if people go on Instagram, it should be talking about the same content. If anyone searches on YouTube and my channel should have the same content, what I want to describe on my blog. And if someone types in the content search, they’re going to find my website.

It will make it possible and a bit easier for your audience to find you if they just have one specific name. So, you want to make sure that you’re setting up your social media presence with the same name.

2) Content Calendar-

When you are going to write some content that you may have decided to write on. You read a lot of content on Quora and search engines. And you come across what people are searching for. What new bloggers want to know about? What is in trend?

Next, you should do is create and build out your content calendar. Perhaps you are thinking about what a content calendar is. What type of calendar he is talking about?

Hey! Don’t worry, it is very, very simple. A content calendar is just a content list. It’s basically just your schedule that is prepared by you. It displays what blog posts you are going to write next time on what days. You have chosen the topics and date to post by those periods.

It depends on you, how you prepare it and what you write. But in my case, within my content calendar, I create a section that includes all of my ideas.

When I read any question(s) on Quora or Google search, I note down that question(s) on my MS Excel sheet. I search for content and prepare my points, what I have to write in my blog post.

I get an idea right there ready for me. So, I can just sit down and right. And this is something or an important thing that is really going to hold you accountable and help you stay consistent as a blogger from the very beginning.

Now your topics are ready, research is done, now you have to prepare points and what you want to write more.

I would suggest my new blogging friends, just prepare your content calendar and be ready for the next topics.

3) Search Console-

Now, you have launched your website, since you’re a website owner. There are a few technical things that you need to do to set up your website and a kind of set up your website

I would call it to manage your website is probably the right term. You need to set up your Google Analytics as well as your Google Search Console and Bing search.

Let’s start with Google Analytics, Google Analytics is going to be a place where you can find how many people are visiting your website.

Where those people are coming from, how they are behaving, and how long they’re spending on your website, and so much more information. Google Analytics can behave like your friend.

And you can have a few resources talking about how you can better use Google Analytics. That’s why I would suggest learning to operate Google Analytics. You should include them by setting up your Google Analytics.

It isn’t that complicated? Honestly, Google will behave with you like a friend through the Google Analytics steps.

But I want to talk a bit more about Google Search Console & Bing search engine. because I feel perhaps, not more people follow the Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster.

It is the foundation for your SEO success. So, SEO stands for search engine optimization. It works how you get found on Google or other search engines. Every search has an algorithm. It works on codes. Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, everything has an algorithm and you want to appear on the search bar, make sure that you get registered your website on these search consoles.

They are working with Google’s set rules that they can help you appear higher in search; every website wants to appear first in search. And one of the steps that you have to do is get set up with Search Consoles.

What search console does, just simple it lets your website verified with Google. In this case, search engines come to know that your website exists, they know what pages to go through and which pages to rank upwards.

4) AdSense-

Now you must be surprised why I am talking about Google AdSense in the beginning, when your website is new and you don’t have any big traffic on your website.

Still learn what I am going to explain here. I would recommend that you should start flashing some Ads. It has two reasons-

  • One you will learn how to set up ad-block on your website.
  • Your audience will be in habit of seeing Ads on your website.

Next thing, you should apply for Google AdSense. When you are a beginner blogger one of the easiest ways for you to make a little money, not big money through ads, you are not going to earn from the very beginning.

If you start showing Ads later, your audience may get confused or they may not like the format you set later.

I suggest it is important that you include ads on your website from the start then your audience gets used to seeing ads. Till you don’t get Ads from Google AdSense, you can add a few of your personal Ads like add your Facebook page, Instagram page, or add your YouTube videos or slides.

Later you can start Ads on your website from AdSense, your audience may not get confused. They may not find anything awkward on your blog page. That’s why I would recommend putting a few Ads from the very beginning so that your audience is used to it.

And if possible, you can start making money as soon as possible. So, try to contact Google AdSense, who knows by the grace of God you may get AdSense approval very soon in your blogging career.

5) Pinterest is Boon

Every blogger wants to grow fast if you are serious about growing your blog from the very beginning. Social media is a boon for everyone. You need to learn about Pinterest guys.

I hope you must know about Pinterest because it truly is a powerhouse, especially for bloggers to drive traffic to your website.

If you want more traffic on your website and start growing from the very beginning of your first month, you need to learn as much as you can about Pinterest.

Pinterest does have a ton of resources. I’m talking about how to grow, how to create pins. You can learn more about Pinterest strategy. All of that information possible, you can include those resources in the description down below in your profile.

Setting up your Pinterest account for success is not difficult. Your Pinterest account helps to set up “ pin” and research “ tailwind “.
